The official podcast of MovieZeal.com, where film is always best discussed under the gentle influence of fine wine (as fine as $10 will get you). Each week Evan, Heather, and Luke pick a theme, discuss a theatrical release based on that theme, pop the cork and drink a wine that fits said theme, and finally subject one another to The Gauntlet, where forcing others to watch painful films nets you fabulous prizes. There is not anything else on the internets like it (literally).

Awesome review, Luke. I enjoyed it so much, I started reading allowed to Beth. I think I was more impressed with the bayou and the lightning bug than you were. This one is definitely going on my queue for a second viewing.

Looks like we are once again back on the same page. I gave it 3 1/2, but we're basically in agreement that the jazzy animation is utterly brilliant, though the story here was episodic and uneven.

That said, it's a feast for the eyes.

I was not as thrileld as you were though with the Randy Newman songs, but no biggie. It's just taste there.
