The official podcast of MovieZeal.com, where film is always best discussed under the gentle influence of fine wine (as fine as $10 will get you). Each week Evan, Heather, and Luke pick a theme, discuss a theatrical release based on that theme, pop the cork and drink a wine that fits said theme, and finally subject one another to The Gauntlet, where forcing others to watch painful films nets you fabulous prizes. There is not anything else on the internets like it (literally).

I love that "part BRADY BUNCH and part REMAINS OF THE DAY." Nice. I also like an dagree with this:

"The film is a revelation of erratic psychosensual characterization. Bunuelian indeed."

There's little doubt that Catalina Saavedra delivered one of the year's greatest performances by a lead actress, and among other scenes th eone where she locks out one of her "assistants" only to get physically mauled is a hoot. But this film as you rightly contend, blends the funny with the serious.

I gave it four-and-a-half, so we're pretty much in tow, and at thi spoint I believe it's in my top ten of 2009.

Excellent review, Kevyn.
