The official podcast of MovieZeal.com, where film is always best discussed under the gentle influence of fine wine (as fine as $10 will get you). Each week Evan, Heather, and Luke pick a theme, discuss a theatrical release based on that theme, pop the cork and drink a wine that fits said theme, and finally subject one another to The Gauntlet, where forcing others to watch painful films nets you fabulous prizes. There is not anything else on the internets like it (literally).

Spot on with this write-up, I truly think this website needs much more consideration. I’ll in all probability be once more to read far more, thanks for that info.

Keira Knightley has become the go-to girl for period pictures.

Why do you suppose that is?

Lack of talent pushing her towards a single genre only?

Despite her, I must say I liked the film. If someone would've asked what I expected from the film before I saw it, I would've given something like this review as an answer. But I think the heroic effort by Fiennes does indeed pay off and elevate this film above numerous others corset-dramas (here is a new term for film criticism, right here). Not only that, but I also loved the fact that the characters as well as their actions and the motivations behind them were real instead of overtly dramatic. The realism that the people behind this project extends beyond the sets and costumes and reaches more essential elements of a film, which is, to me, something that always deserves praise.
