I was going to tell you you were spot on (especially when you mention the brilliance of the casting [especially Alan Rickman]), but then you had to go and insult The Producers. Again. So now all I’m going to mention is that you put “root for” in italics when you shouldn’t have and that Saw had a villain with an at least somewhat believable motive and still sucked. Live with it, jerk.

I enjoyed the film as well and think they did an admirable job translating the show to screen albeit for the buckets of blood. Sure, the blood is necessary and yes, it is Tim Burton … but all the bleeding, dripping, sloshing, and spurting left me a bit cold.

Burton was certainly in his element, though, and the fact that the cast were not all trained singers added to the realism, I believe.
