What else could I give it? It was basically just a big, silly 70's B-movie for the masses. All I can say to the stodgy film critics is that I'm <i>sorry</i> that it wasn't as heady as the Oscar-bait you all had been watching for the last couple of months, but it wasn't supposed to be. It was basically just a big, silly 70’s B-movie for the masses. All I can say to the stodgy film critics is that I’m sorry that it wasn’t as heady as the Oscar-bait you all had been watching for the last couple of months, but it wasn’t supposed to be. Learn to have some fun now and then.

I don't think the film was nearly as bad as critics made it out to be. To me, it was kind of the definition of average. I think the opening gag, with the boat sinking, was pretty darn funny.
