And because Gondry directed, I gleefully sprinted to my local indie theater for Science of Sleep and was greatly let down. I was iffy about Be Kind Rewind, but ultimately voted against seeing it in the theater in order to save my pennies for all the big summer blockbusters, of which I've seen like 3. But hey that's why someone invented VHS...I mean DVDs. I love (to an obscene amount) Eternal Sunshine. This may be one of their last films. They've now been merged into Warner Bros. and will simply serve as another distribution arm. I'm more convinced than ever that Gondry is a brilliant director, but not a great writer. He needs to go hook up with Kaufman again. In a somewhat ironic note, New Line has gone out of business.
