What?! I was Heather’s biggest fan after Podcast #1! This I have to hear…

Oh man, I don’t even know where to start. I need to clear my name (by the way, long “u” sound in my last name –
)!
First of all, thank you for the FREE plug. You’ll get a check as soon as I do, from…somebody, sometime.
Secondly, let me direct those interested to what I actually said about Bottle Shock. You didn’t misquote me, Evan, but it’s worth mentioning that I definitely admitted don’t know anything about wine, either! Sure, I loved Sideways, but I did not relate to Miles or his “oenophilia”. I just thought it was a much better and more interesting movie. To boot, I thought the warmth of the the production of Sideways was even better than Bottle Shock (really, the wet t-shirt scene?), but that’s a moot point anyway because Sideways doesn’t take place anywhere near Napa Valley. (And here’s where I’ll say that you should definitely go there and check it out. I was most recently there again in June for a wedding; here are some shots I’ve taken at different times, unfortunately never during the magic hour).
Thirdly, and most importantly, even if I did claim to know anything about wine, I definitely wouldn’t hold that against those who don’t! Same goes for movies for that matter, ahem…
Heather, it would be my pleasure to take you, and your lovely mother, out to dinner in Minneapolis. You can order the wine and the only topic of discussion will be embarrassing stories about Evan and Luke.

Not to worry, Daniel. Heather just doesn’t know the REAL you.
We even gave your site a nice little plug.

Ah, I was wondering about the pronunciation, Daniel. Will have to rectify that.
Those are gorgeous pictures, by the way. Did you get to go on any kind of wine tasting tour?
Also, no embarrassing stories exist to be told about me, so you’re up a creek there. But, same goes anytime you happen to be passing through Oklahoma – dinner’s on Luke!

Wait, what?

Oh, thanks. They’re strictly amateur shots, but good memories nonetheless. I think people don’t take enough pictures in life.
When I went a couple of years ago I only went on a tour of the winery at Cakebread Cellars (but not the vineyard), which I think was free because my friend used to work there. The other places we just did the wine tasting, no tour.
The last time I went, in June, I discovered that you can do a number of self-guided tours at some places as well, but because of the wedding stuff our time was cut short by a bit. At one place we had to sign a release because they were filming “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and we were going to be on camera. It was pretty painful watching the filming. You’ll never believe it, but I actually haven’t marked my calendar for when that show airs…
You guys should totally make an MZ roadtrip to Napa for podcast research purposes.
I’m not going to be a cheap date, Luke – start saving!

Here’s an update, for those of you wondering: I looked up The Breakfast Club, and it turns out that I was, in fact, born when it was released. I was all of six weeks old.
I’m sure you were all waiting with bated breath for that information.
