I thought it was intelligent and funny. I hate doper movies because they are generally a one-trick pony. Danny McBride was terrific and death by Daewoo was genius. I “got” it.

I enjoyed it, but then again, it was a free screening after a long day of traveling from the coast and having nothing to do that evening…

There was definitely more action than I expected, and I appreciated the humor placed into those pieces… especially little obvious, convenient moments that caused the movie to wink at you and remind you that this isn’t a full blown action flick.

Not something I’d recommend to my mother or quote often, but not something I cringe at remembering either.

No, TBL is really a different kind of humor. Pineapple Express is much more like Superbad just with more pot and more action.

Then again, it’s hard to say. You could think this is the funniest film of all time. I’m on the fence – it could go either way for other people.

Well envisioned there! I know exactly the kind of movie you are talking about here, and I often just avoid them. But your ambivilence yields a bit here to acceptance, a connviction that has much agreement in the ranks.

Very fine review. It made a delightful read with the personal commentary.
