Mystery Poster Theater #5
Ah, my favorite time of the week. Remember, a new MPT shows up every Wednesday at 11AM Central Standard Time. Uno points for the EASY poster, deus points for the HARD one. Let the guessing begin.

THE SCOREBOARD THUS FAR…
Fox - 3
Joseph Demme - 2
redison - 1
Sarah - 1
Jason – 1

Hmmm… no takers yet, eh? Have I stumped you? I thought the EASY one wasn’t too difficult, but perhaps I was wrong.
I’ll toss some hints out in a bit if no one bites.

I feel like I have seen the hard one, I just can’t quite place it.

Friggin A! This one is hard on BOTH ends…. hmmm….

Ok, ok, here are some hints.
The first one is an unnecessary remake, the second is the first adaptation of a novel that has been adapted 3 different times.

I know what the second one is…but I probably shouldn’t say.

Is the hard one “Maltese Falcon” by any chance?
on Oct 08 2008 @ 9:31 pm 7. Evan Derrick said …
Nope, it’s not.
Ok… the easy one was created by a pair of directors, and Charlton Heston starred in one of the other adaptations of the novel that the hard one is based on.

The Hard one is “The Last Man On Earth.” Vincent Price is the man!
And I should have two points for guessing the hard poster last time…right?
I look forward to this every Wednesday. I still have no idea what the easy one is though.

Ok, I found the easy one. “The Lady Killers”

“The Ladykillers”* Sorry about that

And both go to Jason! Nice work. And you’re right, you should have 2 points from last time, Mr. Eagle Eyes. I will adjust accordingly.
I’ll try to go a bit easier next week – I’m slowly but surely figuring out where the boundaries on difficulty are with this.

Damn – Jason’s cleaning up in every poster quiz. Where were you for the poster piece one I had that Evan won? Maybe it’s time for another one of those…gotta see Jason get beat at something…

Oh wow, I love this spin on the guess the poster concept! I shall be adding you to my blogroll so i can keep an eye on next weeks game.
I’ve actually started my own weekly game inspired by this concept after i saw Fletch’s Stained Glass Cinema over at Blog Cabins.
Check it out!
