Thank you for making me regret procrastinating my own Coen musings. You're going to be a tough act to follow. I don't have a musical background at all and lack the vocabulary to do it justice, but I've always considered Burwell a key to how great the Coens are and I have a feeling the brothers wouldn't argue that point. I never really knew his background so it never occurred to me that he had no orchestral experience going into Miller's Crossing. Pretty amazing and it's one of my favorites of his.
