The official podcast of MovieZeal.com, where film is always best discussed under the gentle influence of fine wine (as fine as $10 will get you). Each week Evan, Heather, and Luke pick a theme, discuss a theatrical release based on that theme, pop the cork and drink a wine that fits said theme, and finally subject one another to The Gauntlet, where forcing others to watch painful films nets you fabulous prizes. There is not anything else on the internets like it (literally).

Better to be ambitious and fail than boring and succeed, right?

I liked this movie, and reviewed it last week over at my place. But it isn't a "Stranger than Fiction" knock off, as you point out, Evan.

It is much more ambitious and though I liked it, in some ways not quite successful in those ambitions.

The trailer for this screamed "Stranger Than Fiction" knock-off. But I've read here and elsewhere that that is not the case.

I love quirky little indie gems that could. I'll have to check this out soon.

I have not seen this film just yet, but as you mention the DVD release, that will be the way to go soon enough. The leadin, bringing in the sensibilities of Charlie Kaufman and Wes Anderson, certainly make it prospectively appealing.

Very nice debut here at Movie Zeal! Best Wishes to you Joseph!
