She's right, you're right - sometimes a piece of 'likeable crap' is exactly what we need. Too many critics take that mightier-than-thou approach (Armond White, I'm looking at you) and bash 'n trash a film that isn't attempting to be anything more than a light piece of entertaining fluff. Sometimes an escapist film (like <i>Jumper</i>) descends so far into idiocy that it's impossible to let it off the hook, but many films (like <i>Get Smart</i>) are a good enough time that won't insult your intelligence (too much).
