I had a bit of a problem with the sudden (and badly acted – not on Wincott’s part but the whole scene belonged in a different movie altogether) death of Gary Soneji. For someone who has read several of the Alex Cross books and had really grown to love the pure genius that was the slightly crazed Soneji I would have hoped he’d have had a better or bigger role. However, as much as I love the film, it’s more for watching Morgan Freeman and Michael Wincott interact with one another. It’s just too short lived. The movie did not live up to the books at all and it was more than a little of a letdown…

For the record, Million Dollar Baby made me cry. I loved it.

Yep, I’m a complete success. I feel so warm and fuzzy. Not sure I share your hatred of Million Dollar Baby, though…Derivative? Sure. Undeserving of its Oscars? Probably. But not a bad genre picture.

Yeah…I’ve actually had this thing sitting around for a while. I happened to watch this, like, six months ago. This one isn’t my best work (really, what can you say about this movie?), but I figured I’d rather post it than toss it. So far, it’s received one more comment than I expected it to.
